Terms

Terms of Use, and What You Are Actually Agreeing To

In one paragraph: this site belongs to Thistle Crossing Transfers LLC, the desk arranges rides that other companies drive, nothing is sold or paid for on this site, and Maryland law applies. The clauses below say all of that properly.

Thistle Crossing books ground transfers and runs none of them. No airline, no airport authority, no government body, no hotel group and no carrier owns this desk, pays it or stands behind it. The ride itself is worked by a local operator who holds their own permits, and their name is on the vehicle rather than ours.

01Parties

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and Thistle Crossing Transfers LLC, a Maryland limited liability company at 3301 Boston Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21224, trading as Thistle Crossing. Using this site means accepting them. If you do not accept them, the site is still free to read, but do not send a request through it.

02Service

2. What this company does

  1. The company operates a booking desk for ground transfers between addresses in the Baltimore region and BWI Thurgood Marshall.
  2. The company arranges rides. It does not drive them, does not own vehicles and does not employ drivers.
  3. Each ride is performed by an independent operator who holds their own passenger permits, licences and insurance for that work.
  4. The company holds no passenger carrier permit and no commercial vehicle insurance, and it prints no licence number anywhere on this site because it holds none.
03Not sold

3. What is not sold here

  1. Nothing is sold on this site. There is no basket, no checkout and no card field on any page.
  2. No payment is taken by the company at any time, by any means, including by telephone.
  3. No goods are shipped, because there are none.
  4. Payment for a ride is settled between you and the operator on the terms stated in your quote.
04Sequence

4. Requests, quotes and bookings

  1. A request sent through this site is an inquiry. It creates no booking and holds no vehicle.
  2. A quote is an offer for stated dates and stated conditions. It is valid for the period stated in it and may change if what you asked for changes.
  3. A booking exists only when you accept a quote and the desk confirms it has gone to an operator.
  4. Availability shown or discussed before that point is indicative. Real availability is what the operator has when the desk telephones them.
05You

5. What you agree to do

  1. Give accurate details. A wrong address or a wrong flight number is the most common cause of a ride going wrong, and it is the one thing this desk cannot check for you.
  2. Be reachable on the number or address you gave, on the day of the ride.
  3. Be at the pickup point at the agreed pickup time, or tell somebody you will not be.
  4. Not send anything unlawful, abusive or automated through the forms on this site.
  5. Not attempt to scrape, copy, mirror or republish this site.
06Windows

6. Cancelling and changing

Covered in full on the cancellation page, which forms part of these terms. Where that page and an individual quote differ, the quote governs.

07Content

7. What this site says, and what it cannot promise

  1. Everything written here is accurate as far as the desk knows on the date shown, and is written from experience rather than copied.
  2. Travel times, departure windows and rates are guidance and starting points. Roads, weather and operators change and no page can be current about all three at once.
  3. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a particular flight will be caught. The margin built into the departure windows exists precisely because that promise cannot be made.
  4. No rate printed on this site is the final figure for your ride. The rates page names every addition that can apply, and the telephone quote gives you the figure that governs.
08Liability

8. Liability

  1. The company is responsible for the booking work it does: taking the request accurately, placing it with a suitable operator, and telling you what was agreed.
  2. The company is not the carrier and is not responsible for the conduct of the ride, the vehicle, the driver or anything that happens during the journey. Those sit with the operator and their insurance.
  3. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud and personal injury caused by negligence.
  4. Where liability can lawfully be limited, the company's liability for a booking is limited to the booking fee it earned on that ride.
09Property

9. Other people's rights

The text, the layout, the photographs and the mark on this site belong to the company. You may read, print and quote from it with attribution. You may not republish it as your own or use it to train a system that reproduces it.

No third party brand is used on this site, and none is claimed. If you believe something here infringes your rights, write to [email protected] with the page address and what the problem is, and it will be looked at within five working days.

10Law

10. Law, and where a dispute goes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Disputes belong to the state and federal courts sitting in Baltimore, Maryland.

Before that, try +1 (443) 612-4708 or [email protected]. Almost everything that reaches this clause could have been settled by a telephone call on the day it happened.

11Changes

11. Changes

These terms may change. The date below moves when they do, and a booking already agreed is governed by the terms in force when it was agreed rather than by anything added afterwards.
